Mariupol residents forced to redo apartments after russian "renovation" - National Resistance Center

In the temporarily occupied Donetsk Region, the russian invaders continue to demonstrate cynicism, imitating "concern" for local residents. In particular, in Mariupol, which the russians destroyed back in 2022, they tried to demonstratively "rebuild" apartments for those residents who, due to a number of circumstances, could not leave the city.

This is stated in the message of the National Resistance Center (NRC).

However, according to the NRC, the so-called "restored" apartments turned out to be completely unfit for life. Currently, most repairs in the houses of the occupied city are "frozen" due to a complete lack of funding. And in those apartments that have already been "officially commissioned", the locals have to redo everything themselves.

According to the apartment owners, the walls in the premises are literally made of low-quality building material. Thin and unreliable structures, according to them, are more like "paper walls" and do not meet the basic standards of safe living.

"The situation looks especially cynical, when the occupiers try to pass off their assistance in the form of "repair work" for helping people, whose real estate they destroyed with their massive shelling. The occupiers have purposefully destroyed the lives of not only Mariupol residents, but also other local residents, who are forcibly occupied on the temporary occupied territories," the NRC added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, former advisor to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andriushchenko said that several cases of mysterious disappearances of lonely pensioners have been recorded in the temporarily occupied Mariupol of the Donetsk Region since September 2024. The apartments of at least three of them have passed to new owners.
