Russian troops shell 8 settlements in Donetsk Region over day, 1 person killed and 4 injured

Russian occupation troops shelled 8 settlements in the Donetsk Region in the past day, January 28, as a result of which 49 civilian objects were damaged, one person was killed and 4 were injured.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk Region announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

In total, the Donetsk Region’s police recorded 3,437 enemy strikes on the front line and residential sector.

It is reported that the russians shelled the cities of Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Toretsk, the villages of Komar and Novodmytrivka.

In total, 49 civilian objects were damaged, including 31 residential buildings.

In Pokrovsk, the russians hit a civilian car with a drone - a woman was killed and two more people were injured.

The enemy struck Kostiantynivka three times with artillery - two civilians were injured, 2 apartment buildings and 6 private houses, a cemetery, 9 garages, a car, 2 gas pipelines, and a power line were damaged.

The occupiers dropped a UMPB D-30SN aerial bomb on the village of Komar, Volnovakha District - 18 private households were damaged.

In Myrnohrad, 3 private houses were damaged as a result of the shelling, and in Rodynske - two.

In Bilytske, an enemy drone hit a civilian car - no information about the victims was received.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 27, russian occupation forces shelled 7 settlements in the Donetsk Region, damaging 23 civilian objects, killing two people and wounding one.

The DeepState analytical project reported on the night of January 29 that russian troops had captured the settlement of Velyka Novosilka and advanced near Pishchane, Nadiivka, Andriivka and Baranivka in the Donetsk Region.
