The latest statements by russian dictator vladimir putin indicate that the kremlin leader is afraid of negotiations to end the war and intends to make the conflict endless.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on Tuesday, January 28.
According to him, in 2014, russia launched a hybrid war against Ukraine, which in 2022 grew into a full-scale military aggression.
Zelenskyy stressed that now there is an opportunity to achieve real peace, but putin is doing everything to prolong the war.
The President believes that with his latest statements, the russian dictator has confirmed that he is afraid of real negotiations and intends to do everything to prolong the conflict.
"Putin is doing everything to either continue killing on a full-scale instead of peace, or to get a pause in order to prepare a new full-scale invasion in the future, delivering hybrid strikes," Zelenskyy said.
Recall that on January 28, russian dictator vladimir putin once again stated in an interview with his staff propagandist Pavel Zarubin that he was allegedly ready for negotiations with Ukraine. According to him, he was allegedly ready to "allocate people" who would engage in negotiations with Kyiv.
At the same time, putin once again stated that Zelenskyy was allegedly the illegitimate ruler of Ukraine, since no elections were held in the country.
It should be noted that there is a consensus in Ukraine itself on this: Zelenskyy remains the head of state until the end of the war, since elections cannot be held in conditions of hostilities.
In addition, Zelenskyy's legitimacy is recognized by the international community.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 22, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed putin, urging him to end the war as soon as possible. Trump threatened putin with increased sanctions against the russian federation and the imposition of high tariffs on all russian exports if he refused to sit at the negotiating table.
