The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy launched two missile and 33 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using two missiles and 71 KABs.
In addition, the enemy carried out more than 5,000 artillery attacks, 84 of them from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,424 kamikaze drones for destruction.

Thus, on the Kharkiv axis, 7 combat clashes with the russian invaders took place in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia.
On the Kupiansk axis, 14 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Kutkivka, Kindrashivka, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Nova Kruhliakivka and Bohuslavka.
On the Lyman axis, 10 clashes took place in the areas of Novoiehorivka, Bohuslavka, Novoliubivka, Makiivka and in the Serebrianskyi Forest.
On the Siversk axis, 17 attacks were repelled in the areas of Bilohorivka, Novosilka and Verkhniokamianske.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the Defense Forces repelled 11 enemy attempts to advance near Predtechyne, Bila Hora and Chasiv Yar.
On the Toretsk axis, 20 attacks were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Krymske, Dyliivka, Dachne, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, 88 attacks were repelled near the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, Zelene, Vidrodzhennia, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Serhiivka, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Novovasylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Oleksiivka, Muravka, Dachne, Bohdanivka, Kurakhove and Ulakly.
On the Novopavlivka axis, 7 attacks were repelled on the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv.
On the Huliaipole axis, the invaders attacked the area of the settlement of Novosilka 5 times.
On the Dnieper axis, one attack by the russian invaders was repelled.
On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy did not conduct active operations during the past day.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their operation in the Kursk Oblast (russian federation). Over the past day, 10 combat clashes have occurred here. The enemy has launched 24 air strikes using 34 guided aerial bombs and carried out more than 300 artillery attacks, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukrainian soldiers are inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces.
Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces have launched one strike on an ammunition depot, seven strikes on areas where personnel and military equipment are concentrated, two strikes on command posts, and two strikes on enemy artillery systems.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders on January 28 amounted to 1,670 people.
