The Defense Procurement Agency says it continues to work under Maryna Bezrukova, "since the authority to extend or terminate the director's current contract lies exclusively with the Supervisory Board."
This is stated in the Defense Procurement Agency’s statement, the text of which was posted on the Agency's Facebook page.
The Agency also assured that its Supervisory Board "is legally valid" despite Defense Minister Rustem Umerov's statements about the recall of two representatives.
"In these circumstances, the preliminary announcement of the alleged new head of the Agency is a direct manifestation of pressure on the Supervisory Board and an attempt to replace independent corporate governance with a "manual regime."
And this is an unprecedented violation of all previous agreements between the Ministry of Defense and civil society and international partners, which, in particular, finance the production of Ukrainian weapons within the framework of the "Danish model," the Agency emphasized.
The Agency emphasized that it is ready to be accountable "to society, and most importantly to the military" for the results of its work.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine extended the contract with the current director, Maryna Bezrukova, for one year. The corresponding additional agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Yurii Dzhyhyr.
