One of russia's largest refineries halts fuel shipments after Ukrainian drone attack — Reuters

The Ryazan Oil Refinery has halted fuel shipments after a Ukrainian drone attack. The refinery is owned by russia's Rosneft and is one of the company's five largest fuel-producing enterprises.

Reuters reported this, citing sources.

The agency's sources said that the drone attack damaged a hydrotreating unit and a railway overpass.

According to them, a strike by one of the drones caused a fire in a tank with a capacity of 20,000 tons.

"Adjacent reservoirs were also damaged, the loadings have been suspended," the agency quoted one of the sources as saying.

On the eve, OSINT analysts geolocated videos shot by eyewitnesses to the drone attack on the Ryazan Refinery. One of the videos shows an explosion of the contents of a fuel tank.

A satellite image of the refinery shows that a railway line runs in close proximity to this tank. Above the rails, you can see equipment that is used to load or unload oil products into railway tanks.

It is likely that the fuel shipment was disrupted due to damage to this equipment due to the fire of a neighboring tank.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of January 23-24, several dozen Ukrainian drones attacked the territory of the aggressor country, russia. The russian Defense Ministry announced the alleged destruction of more than 120 drones over 14 regions.

Recall that the drones "shot down" by the russians hit the Ryazan Oil Refinery, where several large fires broke out immediately after the attack.

And later it became known that in Bryansk, russia, after the UAV attack, the Kremniy El plant, which produces electronics, in particular for the needs of the russian army, suspended its work.
