"The attack began at 09:50 p.m. The enemy attacked the city with Shaheds. 6 Shaheds damaged an industrial facility and destroyed an energy facility. 21,000 consumers were left without electricity, including critical infrastructure facilities such as boiler rooms, healthcare facilities, and social security buildings," he said.
Due to the air alert, power engineers and rescuers could not begin to eliminate the consequences for several hours. In total, the alert lasted 6.5 hours.
"After the power engineers began to eliminate the consequences of the enemy UAV attacks, 2 hours later, at four in the morning, the enemy fired four missiles at the city. The type of missiles is being determined. After the air alarm signal began to sound, the missiles were in the city in 3.5 minutes. The enemy hit the same object that the UAV damaged in the evening. Unfortunately, the employees who were restoring the energy supply and conducting the rescue operation were injured," Fedorov said.
He added that one residential building was also destroyed, several more were damaged.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Kyiv Region was attacked by russian drones in the morning, and air defense forces were working in the region.
