Overnight into Wednesday, January 22, russian troops launched 99 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 65 drones, another 30 UAVs did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 22 (from 07:00 p.m. on January 21), the enemy attacked with 99 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
"As of 09:00 a.m., it has been confirmed that 65 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones have been shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Odesa Regions. 30 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
As a result of the nighttime enemy attack, institutions, industrial enterprises, farm buildings, private and apartment buildings in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Sumy and Khmelnytskyi Regions were damaged.
Special services are eliminating the consequences.
According to preliminary information, there are no victims or injured.
