On the night of Monday, January 20, russian troops launched 131 drones and 4 ballistic missiles over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 72 drones, 59 enemy simulator drones were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 21 (from 8 p.m. on January 20), the enemy attacked with 131 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - the russian federation), and also used 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Oblast.
"As of 9 a.m., it was confirmed that 72 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Rivne Regions. 59 enemy simulator drones were lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
As a result of the enemy attack in the Poltava and Cherkasy Regions, institutions, outbuildings, and private houses were damaged.
Special services are eliminating the consequences, there were no casualties or injuries.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of January 20, russian troops launched 141 drones and 1 ballistic missile over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 93 drones, and 47 enemy drones-simulators were lost in location.
Meanwhile, the russian federation struck the railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, and railway workers were injured.
