On the night of Monday, January 20, russian troops launched 141 drones and 1 ballistic missile over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 93 drones, 47 enemy simulator drones were lost in location.
The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 20, 2025 (from 7 p.m. on January 19), the enemy attacked with 141 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types from five directions: Millerovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russia), and also launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk Oblast at the Sumy Region.
"As of 08:00 a.m., the shooting down of 93 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk Regions has been confirmed," the message says.
It is also reported that 47 enemy drones-simulators were lost in location (without negative consequences), two of them flew to the russian federation.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of January 18, russian troops launched 39 drones and 4 ballistic missiles over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 24 drones and 2 missiles.
On the morning of January 18, russian occupation troops struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles, as a result of the attack four people were killed and at least three were injured.
According to the DeepState project, the Ukrainian military has regained control over positions in Makhnovka, Kursk Oblast of russia, and Zelenivka in the Donetsk Region.
According to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, it is necessary to implement what Ukraine has advantages in, in particular, the world's first Unmanned Systems Forces.
