Shufrych, Muraiev, Boiko. Zelenskyy signs new sanctions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) on new sanctions.

He announced this on his Telegram channel.

"I have just signed a decree that gives force to the NSDC decision on sanctions. We are blocking propagandists who work for russia, people who have gone over to the enemy's side, and those who help russia continue the war. We also continue to deprive them of state awards - only those who truly dedicate their lives to Ukraine deserve the title of Hero of Ukraine. We are now preparing new sanctions decisions. They will be coming soon," he wrote.

The new sanctions list includes 18 people, including: MP Nestor Shufrych, MP Yurii Boiko, former MP Yevhen Muraiev, former deputy editor-in-chief of the Strana publication Svitlana Kriukova, actress Ruzhena Rubliova and others.

The sanctions include the cancellation of state awards, a complete cessation of trade, resource transit, flights and transportation through the territory of Ukraine, etc.

However, there are three people on the list who are subject to only one sanction - the deprivation of state awards. This applies to Yurii Boiko, russian conductor Yuri Bashmet, and the rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnychy.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed MP Boiko from the Human Rights Committee.
