MP Bezuhla claims that occupiers enter Pokrovsk, Khortytsia OSTG deny this

Verkhovna Rada member Maryana Bezuhla claims that the army of the aggressor country of russia allegedly entered the territory of the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk Region.

She wrote about this in her Telegram channel on the evening of January 17, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Meanwhile, the russians entered Pokrovsk. And there is not a single combat manager on the front capable of stabilizing the catastrophe," Bezuhla wrote.
Those who doubt her words, she urged to open the interactive map of the DeepState OSINT project and look at Pokrovsk.

"Just as they reported about Bakhmut: the city is still far away! Meanwhile, the russians were capturing the Bakhmut urban agglomeration block by block, between which there were no fields or plantations," Bezuhla added.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine denied rumors about the presence of russian troops in Pokrovsk.

Thus, the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG) reported that fighting continues on the approaches to the agglomeration.

"Some media outlets and social networks are spreading information about the presence of the enemy in Pokrovsk. Such information is not true. Fierce fighting continues on the approaches to the agglomeration. The defense forces are resisting the enemy's attempts to realize their numerical superiority and develop an offensive," the message says.

Khortytsia called on the media to use verified information and restrain emotions.

An officer of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with the call sign "Aleks" in his Telegram channel "Officer+" also denied the entry of the russian army into Pokrovsk.

"The maximum that happened was that the sabotage groups walked around, but they have been trying to get in for a month," he wrote.

On January 15, Ukrainian journalist Yurii Butusov stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing Pokrovsk incompetently, as the command allegedly lost control of the units on this section of the front.

And on January 14, analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote that the russian army will probably try to bypass Pokrovsk on the flanks in order to cut off supplies and force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withdraw from the city.
