17 modular concrete shelters will appear in Zaporizhzhia within two weeks.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov reported this on his Telegram channel.
The shelters will be located at public transport stops and in places where people gather.
The protective structures will be installed in the Shevchenkivskyi and Komunarskyi Districts of the city.
The structures of various capacities are designed for 25 or 50 people staying at the same time.
"The shelters will be serviced by municipal enterprises depending on their location - near the stops or in parks. The modular protective structures are financed from the reserve funds of the regional and city budgets," Fedorov added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 8, russian occupiers' aircraft struck the Shevchenkivskyi District of Zaporizhzhia. The city's industrial infrastructure came under fire.
Two 500-kilogram FAB-500 bombs hit a crowd of people. The attack killed 13 people and injured 127 others.
