The aggressor country of russia is taking migrants into the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in order to change the demographic composition of the population.
This is stated in a message from the National Resistance Center (NRC) on Wednesday, January 15.
The NRC noted that the russians continue to lure laborers from Central Asia to the TOT, for which they promise them a residence permit and relief from migration pressure. The number of migrants is rapidly growing in Mariupol. In this way, the aggressor is trying to replace Ukrainians who left the city due to the occupation.
"Thus, the enemy wants to remove the cultural heritage of the region and destroy any facts that remind us that russia is only a temporary occupier on this land. The russians plan to assimilate the same residents who remain in the city. The National Resistance Center emphasizes that russia's goal in this war is precisely the destruction of Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation," the report says.
The resistance of Ukrainians has thwarted the Kremlin's plans, the NRC noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October, the so-called head of the occupation administration of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, proposed replacing the term "new regions" with "historical", referring to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
In addition, police officers in schools in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine will reveal the pro-Ukrainian sentiments of their parents through children.
As a reminder, from January 1, 2025, citizens without a russian passport in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine will receive the status of foreign citizens or stateless persons.
