Rada extends martial law and mobilization until May 9

The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and mobilization from February 8 for 90 days, that is, until May 9, 2025.

This was announced by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, MP from the Holos faction, on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

A total of 315 MPs voted for bill No. 12404, with the minimum required 226, and 310 for bill No. 12405.

In particular, the Verkhovna Rada approved decrees No. 26 and No. 27 of January 14, already signed by Zelenskyy, on extending the term of martial law in Ukraine and the term of general mobilization from February 8, 2025 for 90 days.

This was the 14th vote of the parliament on these issues.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on October 29, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and mobilization from November 10 for 90 days, i.e. until February 7, 2025.

On February 24, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada approved the introduction of martial law by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in connection with the start of the war by russia and the announcement and conduct of general mobilization.
