On Wednesday, January 15, in the morning, due to the massive missile attack of the aggressor country of russia on the territory of Ukraine, Poland raised its military aviation into the sky.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Poland in X.
So, the message says that in connection with the attack of the russian federation, which struck at objects located, in particular, in the west of Ukraine, the work of military aviation in the airspace of Poland was started.
It is noted that the Operational Command of Poland activated all available forces and means, raised the next pairs of fighter jets into the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance means were put on the highest alert.
The military emphasized that they had taken measures aimed at securing the territories bordering the threatening areas.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an air alert was declared across Ukraine on Wednesday morning, January 15, due to a missile threat.
On January 13, a russian drone crashed into an infrastructure facility in the Sumy Region. Residents of 185 settlements in the region were left without electricity.
