Overnight into Tuesday, January 14, russian troops launched 80 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to shoot down 58 of them, another 21 drones did not reach their targets (lost in location).
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of January 14 (from 06:30 p.m. on January 13), the enemy attacked with 80 Shahed strike UAVs and simulator drones of various types from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (all - russian federation).
"As of 09:00 a.m., it has been confirmed that 58 Shahed attack UAVs and drones of other types have been shot down in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson Regions. 21 enemy simulator drones have been lost in location (without negative consequences)," the message says.
Downed enemy drones caused damage in the Sumy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and Cherkasy Regions.
Private and apartment buildings, cars, and property of citizens were damaged.
According to preliminary information, there are no victims, assistance is being provided to the injured.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of January 13, russian troops launched 110 drones over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 78 drones, and another 31 UAVs failed to reach their targets.
