Occupiers deploy new air defense systems to protect airport in Crimea, exposing other front areas – ATESH

Russian troops are strengthening air defense near the Hvardiiske military airfield near occupied Simferopol in Crimea. To do this, the enemy is deploying air defense systems from other areas of the front.

The ATESH partisan movement has reported this.

The Ukrainian underground notes that the airfield is actively used to base aircraft and provide logistics for the occupation forces in Crimea.

"In the area of the airfield, we have recorded a significant increase in air defense systems, having discovered many S-400 launchers and radar stations," the movement reported.

The partisans add that the facility plays a "key role" in providing air support and supplies to russian troops in the south of Ukraine.

In addition, the ATES movement reported that the occupiers have additionally deployed air defense assets to protect strategically important facilities in Crimea, leaving other sections of the front less protected:

“This demonstrates the vulnerability of their defense, as well as the importance for them of military facilities located in Crimea,” the statement said.

All the data received, including the coordinates of the airfield (45.120762527, 33.957715465), have been transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
