Local public media are distributing footage of smoke from one of the plants, Taneco (Tatarstan Oil Refining Complex). It is claimed that an evacuation is taking place there.

The "Carpet" plan was previously introduced at the Nizhnekamsk airport.

Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko reported that the Taneco refinery was hit – one of the largest and most modern refineries in russia, with a processing capacity of over 16 million tons of oil per year.

"The plant plays a key role in providing fuel to the Russian army. Knocking out refineries and oil depots directly affects the Russian Federation's ability to wage an intensive war. The previous drone attack on the refinery in the spring of 2024 damaged the primary processing unit at the plant. The distance from the front is over 1,000 km," Kovalenko stated.
