Ukraine wants to use revenues from frozen russian assets to purchase air defense equipment. This initiative was discussed with representatives of Italy.
This was reported by the portal of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of Defense Brigadier General Anatolii Klochko held negotiations with a delegation of the Defense Industry Agency of the Italian Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the parties discussed the possibility of using revenues from frozen russian assets, in particular, for the purchase of Italian-made air defense equipment and ammunition for these systems.
"We are interested, among other things, in ammunition of various calibers and air defense systems. However, it is worth understanding the cost and terms during which they can be delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine," Klochko noted.

Representatives of the Ukrainian government got acquainted with the products of Italian defense companies, and the representative of the Defense Industry Agency of the Italian Ministry of Defense Marcello Mele spoke about the mechanisms of potential cooperation.
"The Italian delegation expressed the country's readiness to be not only an important partner in supporting Ukraine, but also to participate in the correct distribution of the EU budget to use all the capabilities of the Ukrainian industry, including," the Ministry of Defense noted.
