Poland needs to prepare for a possible armed attack by the aggressor country of russia. The country is already experiencing hybrid attacks from the outside, so Warsaw should be ready for any scenario.
Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said this on the air of RMF FM radio station.
One of the radio listeners asked what Poland's strategic goal is regarding russia.
Kosiniak-Kamysz admitted that russia could attack Poland. At the same time, hybrid attacks are already taking place not only in Poland, but throughout Europe.
"This is part of the war, very dangerous. Let's not underestimate it. Spreading lies on the Internet, distorting facts, manipulating, weakening social stability - this undermines one of the pillars of security. This is a serious attack on Poland," the minister said.
He listed acts of sabotage and diversion, and also drew attention to the recent events in the Baltic Sea.
"We need to be prepared for any scenario. It seemed to everyone that russia would not attack Ukraine. Let's be smarter, let's be ready," Kosiniak-Kamysz added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, at the end of December 2024, The Financial Times newspaper wrote that Poland would begin construction of a road towards Kaliningrad, controlled by russia, in order to be able to transfer troops faster.
We will remind, last year, Polish schools began teaching shooting and medical care to primary and secondary school students.
We also wrote that in November, Poland announced that Moscow was no longer hiding its cyberwar against Warsaw.
