Military exercises of Belarus near Ukrainian border do not pose threat - Siversk OSTG

Military exercises of the Belarusian army near the Ukrainian border do not pose a real threat, the defense system of Ukraine is ready for any development of events.

Vadym Mysnyk, the spokesman for Siversk Operational and Strategic Troops Group (OSTG), told this on the air of We-Ukraine.

"The situation on the Belarusian border is not undergoing any cardinal changes. The Defense Forces here are fulfilling their tasks of covering the border. Similar exercises in Belarus have been ongoing for the past year and they have called up a lot of reservists - tens of thousands. So we are monitoring the movements, the actions of the Belarusian army, and our defense system here is built in such a way that it is in a single system - both the Belarusian border and the russian one. That is, our Defense Forces here are ready to perform combat missions if necessary in any scenario," he explained.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Center for Countering Disinformation assessed the concentration of Belarusian troops on the border with Ukraine.
