161 combat clashes take place at front during day, the hottest was in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove Axes

On January 9, 161 combat clashes took place at the front, the hottest Axes were Pokrovsk (42 clashes) and Kurakhove (29 clashes).

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Over the past day, the enemy launched one missile strike using three missiles on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, as well as 55 air strikes, dropping 76 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, the enemy carried out more than 6,000 shelling, 200 of them from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,408 kamikaze drones to strike.

On January 9, 161 combat clashes with the russian occupiers were recorded at the front.

Thus, in the Kharkiv Axis, two enemy attacks were repelled in the Starytsia and Vovchansk areas.

In the Kupyansk Axis, 8 attacks by the occupiers were repelled in the past day near Zapadne, Kucherivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman Axis, the enemy attacked 17 times near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Borivska Andriyivka, Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Makiyivka, Hrekivka and Ivanivka.

In the Siversk Axis, the enemy attacked once near the settlement of Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk Axis, 7 clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk Axis, the enemy carried out 12 attacks near Toretsk, Bila Hora and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk Axis, the defenders stopped 42 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Baranivka, Myroliubivka, Sukhyi Yar, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Zvirove, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novovasylivka, Novoandriyivka and Novoyelyzavetivka.

In the Kurakhove Axis, the Defense Forces repelled 29 enemy attacks near Sribne, Andriyivka, Petropavlivka, Kurakhove and Dachne.

In the Vremivka Axis, the enemy carried out 11 offensive actions on the positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of the settlements of Yantarne, Vremivka, Kostiantynopil and Rozlyv.

In the Pridniprovsk Axis, 3 attacks of the invaders were repelled.

In the Kursk Oblast (russia), the Ukrainian military repelled 25 attacks of the russian invaders; In addition, the enemy carried out 19 air strikes using 31 guided bombs, and also carried out 469 artillery shelling (including 19 from MLRS) of positions of Ukrainian troops and russian settlements.

In other Axes of the past day, the aggressor did not conduct active operations.

Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck six areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, two air defense systems, a control point, and one UAV control point of the russian invaders.

In total, the losses of the russian invaders on January 9 amounted to 1,830 people.
