The Verkhovna Rada did not support requests to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the situation around the 155th Anna Kyivska brigade.
Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction, announced this on her Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Verkhovna Rada did not support requests to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief regarding the situation around the 155th Anna Kyivska brigade," she wrote.
The initiative was supported by only 82 votes of parliamentarians.
According to her, only 41 representatives of the Servant of the People faction supported the relevant initiative.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, confirmed that some facts of which this brigade is accused did indeed occur in the 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna Kyivska.
Earlier, journalist and military correspondent Yurii Butusov said that 1,700 servicemen from the 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna Kyivska had voluntarily left the service. According to him, since March, when the formation of the brigade began, a certain number of fighters unauthorizedly abandoned their military units every month. In October, when the brigade left for training in France, there were already 935 of unauthorized abandonment of military units. In France itself, another 50 members of the brigade deserted from service.
