Rada introduces that women are registered with military voluntarily after training

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a law according to which women who have completed basic military service are registered with the military exclusively voluntarily.

Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of the parliament from the Holos faction, announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

A total of 298 parliamentarians voted for the adoption of bill No. 12076, with a minimum of 226 required.

Women can undergo basic military service at their own request, if they are fit for service due to their health and age.
