Over the past day, the russian occupiers stormed Ukrainian positions on the Lyman and Siversk axes, some were destroyed.
The Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Forces has reported this.
So, on the Lyman axis, the enemy stormed the positions of the Armed Forces in the areas of Nadiia, Kopanky, Novoiehorivka, in Makiivka and Terny, and on the Siversk axis, fortifications in Bilohorivka were attacked.
"As a result of assault actions and fire exposure, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are being taken to prevent the deterioration of the tactical situation," the message says.
Meanwhile, on the Kupiansk axis, the enemy carried out assault actions in the areas of Kolisnykivka, Holubivka and Zahryzove. To increase efforts and move personnel in the directions to Petropavlivka and Zelenyi Hai, the enemy used armored vehicles - as a result of the activation of engineering barriers and the infliction of fire damage by Ukrainian units, three tanks, three armored personnel carriers, and one infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed. Two more armored personnel carriers were damaged.
On the Kramatorsk and Toretsk axes, the enemy concentrated its offensive efforts in the areas of Dyliivka and Toretsk. It was not successful.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy's attacks were directed at positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Baranivka, Yelyzavetivka, Zelene, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, in Lysivka, Dachenske, Shevchenko, and Yaseneve. Here, the Defense Forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught, which is trying to implement its numerical superiority and develop the offensive.
On the Kurakhove axis, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the area of Kurakhove and in the direction of Dachne and Yantarne. Measures are underway to identify and destroy enemy assault groups trying to infiltrate Ukrainian battle formations.
On the Vremivka axis, the enemy continues to accumulate forces for further attacks. This day, it attacked fortifications in the areas of Novosilka, Kostiantynopolske and in the direction of Kostiantynopil: it was unsuccessful, the tactical situation was not allowed to deteriorate.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday, January 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the command post of the 8th Guards Combined Arms Army of the russian federation in the Donetsk Region. The building was used to coordinate attacks against the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians, in particular residents of Kurakhove.
