The russian occupiers suffered more losses during 2024 than 2023. At the same time, December became the "most expensive" month of the war - losses amounted to more than 48,000 people.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.
Thus, according to the General Staff of Ukraine, russian troops suffered 429,660 losses (killed and wounded) in the war in 2024, which is significantly more than the 252,940 losses in 2023. Since the start of the full-scale war, russia has probably suffered more than 790,000 losses.
"December 2024 was probably the "costliest" month of the war for russia: according to the Ukrainian General Staff, losses amounted to 48,670 people. In November 2024, 45,680 russian losses were recorded. December became the sixth consecutive month when russian troops suffered an increase in monthly total losses," the report said.
