Operators of the 8th Regiment of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of Ukraine destroyed 13 soldiers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in the Kursk Oblast of russia, among whom could be an officer.
This was reported by the SOF Telegram channel.
While performing tasks, SOF fighters eliminated five DPRK soldiers in a gun battle. Another eight soldiers were destroyed using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
After the battle, the bodies and personal belongings of the destroyed soldiers were examined. One of them had:
- a machine gun with a collimator sight;
- a Chinese-russian radio station Azart;
- a drone detector;
- an ID card that differed from a standard military ticket.
These things indicate that the destroyed soldier may belong to the officer corps.
"Among other things, the North Korean soldier had a letter of appeal to the party," the SOF noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier, rangers of the 6th Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a successful operation in the Kursk Oblast of russia, occupying one of the settlements.
