In the period of December 30 to January 3, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange increased by 2.1% or GBP 0.022 per share to GBP 1.050 per share, growing for the second week in a row.
That follows from the data posted at the London Stock Exchange, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to the report, on December 30, the shares of the company were quoted at the level of GBP 1.028 per share; on December 31, they increased to GBP 1.058 per share; and on January 2, they rose to GBP 1.088 per share.
However, on January 3, the share quotations decreased to GBP 1.050 per share.
There were no stock trading sessions on January 1.
The transactions were being conducted throughout the week.
From December 31, 2023 to December 31, 2024, the company's share quotations have increased by 17.2%, or by GBP 0.155, to GPB 1.058 per share.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the period of December 23-27, the quotations of shares of Ferrexpo plc (United Kingdom), which controls Poltava Mining and Yeristovo Mining (both located in Horishni Plavni, Poltava Region), at the London Stock Exchange increased by 8.4% or GBP 0.088 per share to GBP 1.130 per share, after two-week decline.
In January-June 2024, compared to the same period last year, the Ferrexpo plc increased its net profit twice, or by USD 28 million, to USD 55 million.
The group's earnings in the first half of the year increased by 64% to USD 549 million, mainly due to the recovery of exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports.
In the first half of the year, the company increased EBITDA (Earnings before Taxes, Interest, and Depreciation) by 24%, or USD 15 million, to USD 79 million, which is largely due to increased revenue due to increased production.
Capital investments in the 1st half of the year decreased by 5% to USD 55 million.
Businessman Kostiantyn Zhevaho is the majority shareholder of the Ferrexpo group, he owns 49.3% shares of the company.
