Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha discusses security in Black Sea and Syria with Turkish Foreign Minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Among other things, they discussed security in the Black Sea.

The head of the domestic foreign policy department reported this on his official page on X (Twitter).

According to the Ukrainian Minister, he discussed with his Turkish colleague the bilateral agenda, the situation on the battlefield, security in the Black Sea, the situation in Syria and the Middle East.

"We agreed on coordinated efforts to further strengthen our strategic partnership," Sybiha noted.

It is worth noting that Turkey declares its neutral position regarding the war in Ukraine. Ankara supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but has not severed ties with russia.

In addition, the Turkish Foreign Minister has repeatedly called for negotiations and stated the need to find "alternatives" to end the war.
