In 2025, government plans to launch social policy reform - Shmyhal

In 2025, the government plans to launch a social policy reform.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"This year, the government plans to launch a new social policy reform," he announced.

According to Shmyhal, pension indexation will be carried out in March.

In 2025, the government also expects the adoption of legislation on the funded pension system in order to launch it next year.

Also, according to him, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to introduce one, but significant payment instead of various social payments for families who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances.

"We will implement a basic social assistance project. Instead of a bunch of different payments for families who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances, we will introduce one, but significant payment," he noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in December, the Ministry of Social Policy published a bill on pension reform, which provides for changes in the solidarity level of the pension system.
