The accused in the murder of Lviv Polytechnic professor Iryna Farion, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, went on a hunger strike six times in pre-trial detention.
He told reporters about this in court, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"What interesting thing happened to me during that time? I went on a hunger strike six times. But it was purely formal, since I had not been hungry for more than 36 hours," the accused said.
He did not specify the reasons why he went on a hunger strike six times.
He also once again denied his guilt in murder of Farion.
"I do not admit my guilt," Zinchenko emphasized.
He faces life imprisonment.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, cyber police were able to hack the Google account of the suspect in murder of Farion and find out his intentions for the crime.
