AFU struck command post of russian army in Maryino, Kursk Oblast - General Staff

On January 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a command post of the army of the aggressor country, russia, in the village of Maryino, Kursk Oblast.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"On January 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a high-precision strike on the command post of the occupation army of the russian federation in the village of Maryino, Kursk Oblast. All necessary measures were taken to minimize the threat to the lives of the local civilian population," the report says.

The General Staff emphasizes that these fire strikes are primarily intended to weaken the ability and desire of the russian federation to carry out terrorist acts against the Ukrainian civilian population.

It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to relentlessly identify and destroy the military command facilities of the aggressor country.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a video address on January 2 regarding the situation on the front, said that in the Kursk Oblast, Ukrainian units continue to defend positions, there are more than 30 russian attacks there every day, he thanked all units that strike at the russian army and destroy the occupier.
