AFU attack oil depot in Smolensk Oblast. Several explosions sound, after which fire breaks out

On the night of December 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Yartsevskaya oil depot in the Smolensk Oblast of the aggressor country, russia. The facility was attacked using drones.

It was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Tonight, units of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Forces of Unmanned Systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces, struck the Yartsevskaya oil depot in the Smolensk Oblast of the Russian Federation," the message says.

The General Staff stated that as a result of the attack on the oil depot, several powerful explosions sounded, after which a fire broke out.

The oil depot was used to provide supplies to the russian occupation army.

A video was published online, which, as it is claimed, was filmed near the oil depot hit by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 27, The New York Times wrote, citing sources, that Ukraine is reducing the intensity of its use of ATACMS missiles.

Recall that earlier in December, Bloomberg reported that due to Ukraine's strikes on oil refineries and oil depots, russia reduced its seaborne exports of petroleum products by 9%.
