Energy Minister Halushchenko bans publication of trading results on energy market

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko has banned the publication of trading results on the electricity markets - on the day-ahead and intraday markets, as well as on-exchange electricity trading.

This is stated in the reports of the Market Operator state enterprise and the Ukrainian Energy Exchange.

Moreover, the Market Operator does not report on the basis of which document the publication of information is limited and refers only to wartime and russia's attempts to destroy Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

The Ukrainian Energy Exchange refers to the order of the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko dated 12/27/2024 No. 27-dsk.

“During martial law and until the last day of the month following the month of termination or cancellation of martial law, auction bulletins and bulletins of weighted average prices are not available for viewing on the website,” the message says.

The Market Operator provides access to hourly prices, but trading volumes remain closed information.

The UEE publishes only a chart with the price based on the results of the trading day.

The messages do not explain why the publication of information is limited only now, when martial law, which is the declared reason for the decision, has been in effect for almost three years.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 27, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico threatened to cut off energy supplies to Ukraine if Kyiv stops transporting russian gas to Central Europe.
