Today, December 31, soldiers of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed an air target for the first time in the world using a Magura V5 sea drone. Namely, a russian Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed, another one was shot down.
The Defense Intelligence’s press service has reported this.
Thus, on December 31, 2024, soldiers of the Defense Intelligence special unit “Group 13” for the first time in history hit an air target using a Magura V5 sea drone equipped with missile weapons.
It is indicated that during the battle in the Black Sea in the area of Cape Tarkhankut of the temporarily occupied Crimea, a russian Mi-8 helicopter was destroyed as a result of the use of R-73 "SeeDragon" missiles.
In addition, another enemy helicopter was hit by fire and was able to reach its base airfield.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Defense Intelligence and the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Tavria" as a result of a joint operation destroyed the enemy headquarters in the Zaporizhzhia Region together with the occupiers.
