Russia lost over 420,000 soldiers since beginning of 2024 – General Syrskyi

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has named russia's losses in the war in 2024. They exceeded 421,000 soldiers.

The general stated this in a post on his Facebook page.

"We are destroying the aggressor by all possible means. Thus, since the beginning of 2024, the total losses of the occupiers involved in the offensive have already exceeded 421,000 people killed and wounded," he said.

That is, according to Syrskyi, this year the russians paid the highest price since the beginning of their invasion of Ukraine.

"The total losses of the enemy for all this time amount to approximately 785,000 soldiers," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, over the day, from December 27 to 28, the russian army lost 1,690 soldiers, 19 armored combat vehicles, and 66 units of motor vehicles in the war in Ukraine.
