Navy tells how they record preparations for missile strike from sea and why they need to look at sky for this

The Ukrainian Navy told how they observe signs of preparation for a missile attack - it is reported that for a full assessment of the situation, an analysis from the air is also necessary.

The spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, stated this during a telethon.

According to him, since December 26, one submarine has been in the Black Sea, which is a carrier of cruise missiles. However, it performs other tasks - it guards the Novorossiysk base. The Ukrainian military has not yet recorded any preparations by russia for a new missile strike from the Black Sea.

"In order to see signs of preparation for some applications, including sea platforms that are carriers of cruise missiles, you usually have to look at the sky in such a situation. Because, as we can see, for a long time the enemy has not been using these units - sea carriers as an independent type of weapon, but only in cooperation with the air component," Pletenchuk said.

According to him, the russians usually use missile carriers from the sea when they strike with strategic aviation. In this way, they are trying to load the Ukrainian air defense.

"As of now, nothing says that these carriers can be used," the spokesman added.
