In 2024, the government allocated UAH 1.9 billion to Zaporizhzhia for fortifications, the work is 100% completed.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"In each front-line region, one of the key priorities for us is the construction of fortifications. This year, the government allocated UAH 1.9 billion to Zaporizhzhia for these needs. The state of completion of the work is 100%. 358 military strongholds have been prepared. Hundreds of kilometers of defensive lines have also been built," he said.
Shmyhal emphasized that the state of construction and operation of fortifications remains under constant government control.
The Prime Minister also reported that in 2024, the government allocated almost UAH 4.5 billion to the Zaporizhzhia Region for restoration and priority needs, and more than UAH 1 billion was allocated for the construction and arrangement of shelters in schools.
On Friday, the Cabinet of Ministers held an off-site meeting in Zaporizhzhia.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in early December, Shmyhal reported that 99.9% of the work on the construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv Region had been completed.
