The first North Korean soldier captured by Ukrainian troops, who fought on the side of russia, died from exacerbation of his wounds.
Yonhap was informed about this by the intelligence agency of South Korea, referring to the intelligence data of the "friendly country".
It is noted that the wounded North Korean soldier died on Friday, December 27, from the exacerbation of his wounds a day after he was captured by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, South Korean intelligence confirmed the capture of a DPRK soldier by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that russia was preparing DPRK soldiers for direct participation in hostilities. It was assumed that Pyongyang's forces would enter the battle against the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk axis.
After that, South Korean intelligence reported that, according to its data, at least 100 North Korean (DPRK) servicemen stationed in the aggressor country of russia were killed, and another 1,000 were injured during intense fighting with the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kursk Oblast.
