Austrian OSTCHEM, which filed for bankruptcy, not related to Ukrainian fertilizer producer OSTCHEM - Group DF

Group DF declares that OSTCHEM Holding GmbH (Austria) is in no way related to Ukrainian nitrogen holding OSTCHEM, which includes Cherkasy Azot and Rivneazot enterprises.

This is stated in the group's statement, which was transmitted to the Ukrainian News Agency.

"The company OSTCHEM Holding GmbH (Austria) owned the only titanium asset - Crimean Titan, which the Group lost due to the war. The loss of this asset in Crimea is a logical reason for the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings. We emphasize that the Ukrainian nitrogen holding OSTCHEM, which specializes in the production of fertilizers, is in no way connected with the Austrian holding and continues to fully operate in Ukraine," the message says.

Thus, Group DF decided to respond to the dissemination by a number of Austrian and Ukrainian media of news about the opening of bankruptcy proceedings against the Austrian holding OSTCHEM Holding GmbH by the Salzburg Regional Court.

The Ukrainian enterprises Cherkasy Azot and Rivneazot, which are part of the nitrogen holding OSTCHEM, continue to ship products in accordance with existing contracts and 100% fulfill their obligations, the message says.

This year, production at these enterprises has decreased. In particular, Cherkasy Azot and Rivneazot produced 1.33 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers in 9 months of 2024, which is 15% less than in the same period last year.
