Ukrainian Navy explain why accidents with russian ships become more frequent

Due to problems with fleet maintenance in russia, a number of incidents with russian ships have occurred in recent days. First, they took place in the Black and Azov Seas, and now in the Mediterranean.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk, on the air of the telethon.

"In fact, several cases have occurred in a short time, but they are united by the same thing - they have systemic problems with maintenance. At least they should have them, given that such ships usually have many elements of foreign production, in particular, this concerns the engine room," he said.

These systemic problems are reflected in the general condition of the russian fleet - both conventionally civilian and combat.

"If information cannot be disseminated so quickly and easily with the combat fleet, because it is a more closed structure, then what concerns the conditionally civilian shipping of the russians is on the surface, and sometimes even under the surface," the Navy spokesman added.

Recall that the cargo ship that the aggressor country of russia sent to remove its weapons and equipment from Syria broke down while moving - the fuel pipe of the main engine failed.

A russian ship that was supplying russian troops in Syria sank in the Mediterranean Sea after an explosion.
