On Christmas, russia launches over 70 missiles and 100 drones at Ukraine - Zelenskyy

On Christmas, December 25, the aggressor country of russia launched over 70 missiles and 100 drones at Ukraine. Over 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones were shot down.

This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Telegram.

"Today, putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhuman? Over 70 missiles, including ballistic ones, and more than a hundred strike drones. The targets are our energy sector. They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine," the President said.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down over 50 missiles and a significant part of the drones that the russians launched the previous evening.

Zelenskyy also reported that there were hits, power outages in several regions. Power engineers are working to restore power supply as soon as possible.

"I thank everyone who is currently working for the country, who is on combat duty, who is protecting our sky. We will restore the maximum. Russian evil will not break Ukraine and will not distort Christmas," the head of state emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Wednesday morning, December 25, measures were introduced to limit electricity consumption due to russia's massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine.
