Russians hit DTEK TPPs with missiles. Equipment damaged

On Wednesday, January 25, russian troops struck DTEK thermal power plants, seriously damaging their equipment.

This is announced in a DTEK statement.

"The russian federation carried out another massive terrorist attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. DTEK thermal power plants were attacked.

As a result of the massive attack, the TPPs equipment was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, the energy sector quickly began eliminating their consequences and restoring the equipment's operation," the company noted.

According to DTEK, this is the thirteenth large-scale attack on the Ukrainian energy sector in 2024 and the tenth on the company's energy enterprises.

In total, DTEK thermal power plants have been subjected to more than 200 attacks since the start of the full-scale war.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of Wednesday, December 25, measures were introduced to limit electricity consumption due to russia's massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine.
