The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the term of current bookings from mobilization to the army for one month due to a cyberattack on state registers.
The Ministry of Economy has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to automatically extend current bookings from mobilization for one month, but no longer than until February 28, 2025. This applies to bookings that were valid as of December 19, 2024 and provided in accordance with Resolution No. 76 of January 27, 2023. The decision is related to the temporary suspension of state registers due to a cyberattack," the report says.
Thus, if the validity period of an employee's booking expired on December 20, 2024, it will be automatically extended until January 20, 2025.
If the booking expired before December 19, that is, before the cyberattack, employers will be able to renew it after the registers are restored.
The Ministry of Defense is obliged to make appropriate changes to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists within 5 days after the resolution comes into force.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna announced that on December 19, the largest cyberattack by the russians on the state registers of Ukraine occurred. As a result of the attack, the work of the Unified and State Registers, which are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice, was temporarily suspended. According to her, the data leak is not confirmed, and it will take at least 2 weeks to restore the registers.
