Opendatabot has conducted a study of the state and plans of individual entrepreneurs in Ukraine. Almost 32,000 entrepreneurs took part in the survey. 27% of them plan to close in the near future. More than half of individual entrepreneurs are stopping work due to a sharp increase in the tax burden. In December, 2 entrepreneurs closed for every 1 opened individual entrepreneur. At the same time, a year ago the situation was radically opposite: 1 closure for every 4 new entrepreneurs.
This is stated in the message of Opendatabot.
According to the results of the study, 27% or 8,621 surveyed entrepreneurs plan to close in the near future. 2,297 or 7% planned to close this year. Another 20% or 6,324 participants indicated that they plan to stop their activities next year.
More than half of those planning to close - namely 62% - decided to close due to tax increases. Another 19% of entrepreneurs are stopping work due to problems in the business. Opendatabot noted that currently, due to a large-scale attack by pro-russian hackers on state registers, closing a business is either very complicated or impossible at all.

The largest number of surveyed individual entrepreneurs work in retail (retail trade) - 24.6%, another 21% - in IT.
Since the signing of the law on the introduction of military levy for small and medium-sized businesses, there have been 2 closed individual entrepreneurs for every 1 new individual entrepreneur. Thus, 24,497 entrepreneurs stopped working in the period from the moment the President signed the law and until December 17. During this same period, 2.2 times fewer new cases were opened: 10,947. For comparison, in the corresponding period last year, only 1 closed for every 4 new individual entrepreneurs.

It is also noted that Opendatabot asked for a comment from the Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev. However, at the time of publication of the text, no response had been received.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, a member of the Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, links the rapid closure of individual entrepreneurs with an increase in taxes.
