The City Hall of the Belgian capital Brussels has provided another batch of aid to its sister city Kyiv: 100 beds for the rehabilitation of military personnel to one of the capital's hospitals, where wounded soldiers are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"100 modern beds for the rehabilitation of military personnel were transferred from the Brussels City Hall to one of the capital's hospitals by the head of the international and economic relations department, Marie-France Botte," the message says.

It is also reported that recently, with the assistance of Brussels Mayor Philippe Close, this hospital received a mobile operating X-ray unit (C-arm) and an X-ray-transparent multifunctional operating table for operating on military personnel with complex combat injuries and civilians.

Klitschko also reported that Brussels helps both in equipping Kyiv medical facilities and in training doctors: during the full-scale war, Kyiv was provided with, in particular, 5 ambulances, 2 fire engines, a CT scanner, 28 electric beds and mattresses for the rehabilitation of military personnel, and 3,000 bulletproof vests to protect doctors and emergency and utility workers during the liquidation of the consequences of russian shelling.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2023, at the Kyiv Investment Forum held in Brussels (Belgium), Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Brussels Mayor Philippe Close signed an agreement on cooperation between the two capitals, and Kyiv and Brussels became sister cities.
