Ukraine receives USD 1.1 billion from IMF

Ukraine has received USD 1.1 billion from the International Monetary Fund.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

This is the sixth tranche under the joint program within the framework of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF).

"The funds have already been received in Ukrainian accounts. We will use them to finance critical budget expenditures," Shmyhal noted.

In total, Ukraine has already received USD 9.8 billion from the IMF under this program.

Shmyhal thanked the IMF for its unwavering support for Ukraine during the full-scale war.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on November 19 it became known that Ukraine and the IMF agreed at the expert level on the sixth review of the EFF program.

On December 21, the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund completed the sixth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), which allowed Ukraine to allocate USD 1.1 billion.
