On December 22, 234 combat clashes took place at the front, the largest number – on the Vremivka (44 clashes), Pokrovsk (37 clashes) and Lyman (36 clashes) axes.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Over the past day, the enemy carried out one missile strike on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using one missile, as well as 15 air strikes, dropping 29 KABs.
In addition, the enemy carried out more than 4,200 attacks, 151 of them from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,053 kamikaze drones to strike.

Thus, on the Kharkiv axis, the enemy stormed 7 times in the areas of the settlements of Hoptivka, Hlyboke, Vysoka Yaruha, Buhruvatka, and Starytsia.
On the Kupiansk axis, 7 attacks by the occupiers took place during the day near Kucherivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka, Zahryzove, and Nova Krystynivka.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy attacked 36 times near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Novoserhiivka, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nadiia, Ivanivka, Terny, Toretsk, Hryhorivka, and in the direction of Druzheliubivka, Dibrova, and Serebrianka.
On the Siversk axis, 12 clashes took place near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Ivano-Daryivka, and Vyimka. The enemy used armored vehicles, buggies, and motorcycles to carry out assault operations in the direction of Verkhniokamianske.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the occupiers attacked 7 times in the area of Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.
On the Toretsk axis, the enemy carried out 7 attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Druzhba.
On the Pokrovsk axis, the defenders stopped 37 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Lysivka, Sukha Balka, Promin, Zelene, Ukrainka, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Novoukrainka, Pokrovsk, Novovasylivka, Novoielizavetivka, and Novoolenivka.
On the Kurakhove axis, the Defense Forces repelled 30 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Kurakhove, Yasenove, Dachne, and in the direction of Andriivka; in Kurakhove, fighting continues in urban areas.
On the Vremivka axis, the enemy carried out 44 assaults on the areas of Velyka Novosilka, Kostiantynopolske, Yantarne, Uspenivka, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Novosilka, Blahodatne, Vremivka and in the direction of the settlement of Bahatyr.
On the Orikhiv axis, the enemy attacked once in the direction of Novoandriivka.
On the Dnieper axis, 4 attacks of the invaders were repelled.
An operation is underway in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation, where over the past day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 27 enemy attacks; the enemy has carried out 440 attacks.
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas of concentration of personnel, one electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot, a UAV depot, in addition, four other important objects of the invaders were struck.
In total, the losses of the russian invaders for December 22 amounted to 1,990 people.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 20, 211 combat clashes took place at the front, with the enemy attacking the most in the Kursk Oblast of the russian federation (50 clashes), and the russians also actively attacked on the Pokrovsk (46 attacks) and Vremivka (36) axes.
