Over the past day, December 21, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed 1,820 russian invaders, 15 enemy tanks, 32 artillery systems and 3 air defense systems. The total losses of enemy personnel increased to 774,100.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, the total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to December 22, 2024 were approximately:
- personnel - about 774,100 (+1,820) people,
- tanks - 9,609 (+15) units,
- armored combat vehicles - 19,870 (+29) units,
- artillery systems - 21,284 (+32) units,
- MLRS - 1,256 (+0) units,
- air defense systems - 1,030 (+3) units,
- aircraft - 369 (+0) units,
- helicopters - 329 (+0) units,
- operational-tactical level UAVs - 20,735 (+50),
- cruise missiles - 2,947 (+0),
- ships / boats - 28 (+0) units,
- submarines - 1 (+0) units,
- automotive equipment and tankers - 31,972 (+81) units,
- special equipment - 3,662 (+0).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of December 22, drones attacked the Oryol Oblast of the aggressor state of russia, explosions were heard in the area of an oil depot that had already been attacked earlier. The governor of the oblast confirmed the fire at the fuel infrastructure facility after a massive UAV attack.
